A “Long Term Impact” Story
Recently, while walking through the aisles at a north shore party store I heard someone cry out “Erika!” I turned to see a mom and her daughter. The daughter was one of our first students when she was in the 4th grade, and she is now in the 11th grade.
She recently won a regional science fair and said a lot of it had to do with what Science from Scientists (formerly WhizKids) taught her when she was little. Her parents were ebullient and proclaimed “What you (Science from Scientists) do works!” Here is a letter the student wrote about her experience.

What a great story, and a well written letter by the young lady whose life has been touched by the love of science. Kudos to her teacher for encouraging her with an independent study suggestion that turned into a memory of a lifetime. Anything that helps cultivate this kind of creativity and enthusiasm is a great thing.
