Donor Appreciation Day: Mystery Solved!

To thank our very generous supporters, SFS invited the children of our supporters and their employees to participate in a fun filled day of science this past Saturday at our annual Donor Appreciation Day hosted by New England BioLabs in Ipswich. Using forensic science, participants worked to solve “The Candy Genome Project Files: The Mystery of Formula X”.   The young scientists participated in a series of workstations to analyze the evidence gathered from this perfect candy crime.  As part of their explorations, they were able to use chromatography, hair identification, soil analysis, fingerprints and more to determine who had committed the crime.  As you can see from the photos below, it was a great day, thanks to all who participated!
